Diversion will require that each applicant obtain 37 hours of pre-placement training plus up to eight hours of special education surrogate parent training and up to eight hours of Certification in a first aid training program and a child and adult cardiopulmonary resuscitation training program such as those training programs offered by the American Red Cross, The American Heart Association or the equivalent to be completed before licensure will be recommended and or homestudy approved. Our pre-placement training for foster parents is the same pre-placement as adoptive parents.
